Flasks
Pewter Flasks
e have introduced a range of pewter hip, or drinking, flasks. Pewter is an excellent material for flasks as it tarnishes more slowly than silver plated. Pewter is made predominantly from tin with antimony (to add lustre) and copper to strengthen it. In the past lead was added. This darkened the pewter. The pewter used today, and the solder, is lead free.
To care for the flask it should be washed carefully in warm water with a mild detergent. Do not use any abrasive device as this can scratch. It should not be put in a dishwasher as the high temperature and strong detergent can cause damage. The flasks can be polished using a soft cloth. The range we offer covers a variety of styles and we believe that they will sell extremely well.
